Who and what is Interlay?

A collaborative effort of pioneers around the globe working together on bringing Bitcoin to any blockchain. Invest, earn and pay with your Bitcoin on any blockchain. Radically open and secured by insurance.

What is interBTC?

interBTC is Bitcoin on any blockchain. A 1:1 Bitcoin-backed asset, fully collateralised, interoperable and censorship resistant. Sounds great right? interBTC (INTR) will be hosted as a Polkadot (DOT) parachain and coerced to Cosmos, Ethereum and other major DeFi networks.

How does it work?

interBTC follows 4 main protocols.

• Issue - Lock your Bitcoin's with a vault. Pick one or run your own! Your Bitcoin is always safe and secured by vault collateral.
• Mint - Get InterBTC at a 1:1 ration to your locked Bitcoin.
• BTC DeFi - Earn on your Bitcoin whilst you can use interBTC as collateral, ceding yield farming and much more!
